Prof. David Ogoli, the lead architect of Diaspora University Town (DUT) project was at the Diaspora University Town (DUT) as he worked on the designs of the project. Present at the site were: Dan Kamau the Diaspora University Trust – Executive Trustee and Diaspora University Town Project director; Diaspora University Trust, Vice Chairman, Benjamin Mwanda; and, Ronald Mwangome of DUT Materials.

Diaspora University Town design incorporates 3,778 plots and the buildings that will be built inside the plots. The design includes the 60 kilometers of road and infrastructure network that will service the properties and the environment management system. The estimated budget of the first 5 years is to deliver 1.5 million square meters of space and the roads. The Architect stated he was happy with the progress made.

Architect Ogoli also visited the 11 acre plot of Dakatri Biotechnology Ltd that he has designed for the medicine and vaccine plant. His design of the medicine and vaccines plant is a three story building of about 3,600 square meters of space. The founder of Daktari Biotechnology Ltd is Dr. Wilson Endege of Boston, MA. The current goal of the Company is to have the building construction started in 2025.

Ronald Mwagombe presented the building materials plan that includes natural materials like sand and concrete products. Dr. Ogoli commended Benjamin Mwandaa, Ronald and Ndara B Community for the progress they have made in the plans to produce building materials. He checked the quality of the hollow blocks and the cabro pavers that were already produced.

Ndara B Community is progressing to open 15 building materials MSMEs that will achieve the production of the building materials that include sand, ballast, concrete, marram, blocks, and diverse concrete products.
Dan updated on other designs that are ongoing in the draft stages that include: the Technical High buildings design. MSMEs buildings design. The designs are by Architect Rose Dama and other DUT architects.
