Diaspora University Town (DUT) will create 15,000 jobs. 2,000 jobs will be for Diaspora Kenyans returning to Kenya. The first job created of the DUT project, the job of Diaspora University Town – Project Director is taken up by Dan Kamau who is formerly from Worcester, MA. Dr. Wilson Endege of Boston, MA is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Daktari Biotechnology Ltd, a Medicine, Vaccines and Pharmaceutical Company setting up at DUT. Frank Mutura of Raleigh, NC is planning to join DUT in 2025 to take up the job of founding CEO of DUT Hotel. He will also join the Design-Build Team and offer a few professional hours of his expertise. Other Diaspora Kenyans will take up different jobs created.

Diaspora Kenyans who will take up the 2,000 jobs have to join DUT as Townhouse Developers. The first goal is to ensure that the town settlement and housing plan that will accommodate the Diaspora Kenyans is similar to what the Diaspora have in the Town or City they live in. The second goal is to ensure the Diaspora Kenyans have a way to retire back in Kenya in a town with good housing, clean water, security, a hospital and other amnesties.

Diaspora University 1,000 Jobs. 350 Jobs for Diaspora

The Diaspora Kenyans will take about 300 jobs or 30% of the 1,000 jobs created at Diaspora University. The jobs include faculty, administration jobs, academic departments support staff, sports staff jobs and other jobs.

The Diaspora Kenyans will take about 450 jobs or30% of the 1,500 jobs created as a level 6 hospital is achieved in Kenya that is similar to any hospital abroad. The Hospital development plan is for achieving a Ksh 4 billion yearly budget hospital.

The Diaspora Kenyans will take about 50 jobs or 10% of the 500 jobs of the Town. The town jobs include town management, planning, environment, security and other jobs.

MSMEs and Organizations 12,000 Jobs. 1,200 Jobs for Diaspora

The Diaspora Kenyans will take about 1,200 jobs or 10% of the 12,000 jobs as they start some of the 300 MSMEs and Organizations that will open at DUT. MSMEs started include Daktari Biotechnology that has a plan to create 500 jobs; DUT Credit Ltd whose plan will create 300 Jobs; and Design-Build MSMEs will create about 2,000 jobs.
